About the Firm
Advice built for the people who have to run it.
SPS Specialized Consulting is an independent management consulting firm. We work with a small number of clients at a time, so every engagement gets a partner's direct attention from scoping through implementation.

Our Story
Founded on a simple frustration with the industry.
Margaret Fenwick and Daniel Harcourt started the firm in 2011 after years at larger consultancies, where they watched good strategy work get diluted by junior staffing and slide decks built for the boardroom rather than the operating floor.
SPS Specialized Consulting was built around a different model: small teams, senior involvement on every engagement, and a refusal to hand clients a plan the firm has not stress-tested against how the business actually runs.
Today the firm works across five practice areas with clients in financial services, manufacturing, healthcare, and logistics, and takes on a limited number of engagements each quarter by design.
How We Work
Three commitments that shape every engagement.
Direct, not diplomatic
If a plan is not working, we say so before you spend another quarter on it. Clients keep us around for the second opinion they trust, not the one that is easiest to hear.
Built to be run by your team
We design recommendations around the people who will implement them, with the resourcing and sequencing constraints they actually operate under.
Senior attention throughout
The partner who scopes your engagement stays on it. We do not hand off to a junior team after the proposal is signed.
Milestones
Fourteen years of engagements, told briefly.

Curious if we're the right fit?
Most first calls end with a clear yes or no. If we are not the right firm for your situation, we will tell you and point you toward someone who is.
